Founded in 1948, this year marks our 75th season of providing the youth of Mississippi with exciting, rewarding, and professional orchestral music instruction and performance opportunities.

MYSO provides an opportunity for young musicians to play and share the challenge of performing orchestral music with their peers.

MYSO extends a heartfelt thank you to all of the parents of our musicians for the time, energy and resources you have dedicated to supporting your children’s musical development.  The fact that we have such an extraordinary group of motivated young people is a tribute to the encouragement and support of their parents.
